I can now access the internet with my phone!! There's no electricity within about 25km, but I can check my email.

Please stop sending packages to my school address. I'm trying to find a better way to get them. Letters sent there are fine though.
And speaking of packages, I don't need any more books! (well, I would like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows...) But if you really want to send me something I will gladly accept crossword puzzles and magazines.

During soccer practice, we have to chase the cows off the field.

We had a hailstorm yesterday and it delayed the teachers' meeting with the Board of Governors for about on hour. It was still raining during the meeting so we had to shout to hear eachother.

It took me a whole term plus a few weeks to realize what's been bugging me about teaching physics. The kids' level of math is too low so they don't always get where the formulas and theories come from. And we can't even do fun topics like projectile motion and radioactive decay. Booo.

I hate stupid people and bad science. According to the school secretary, people get fat from drinking water. It has nothing to do with calories. Ok. One of these days I'm going to lose it and just start yelling at her.... Then there's the chemistry teacher that believes in all that quackery crap. I won't go into that now.

Some dude tried to charge me 250ksh instead of 150ksh for a matatu ride today. I didn't let him get away with that.

Next Friday is a Kenyan holiday; their Independence Day, I think. Doubt they celebrate the same way we do.

Last night I dreamt I was eating steak. And it was good. I miss good steak.

Time to do some grocery shopping.
